Emily Lienhard and Matthew Sweitzer

The engagement of Emily Lienhard of Easton to Matthew Sweitzer of Nazareth has been announced by her parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Teresa and Eugene Lienhard of Easton. She has an associate degree from Northampton Community College in culinary arts, and a bachelor's degree in elementary education from East Stroudsburg University. She is employed as a teacher at Lightbridge Academy in Bethlehem Township.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Marianne and Robert Sweitzer of Nazareth. He has a bachelor's degree from The Culinary Institute of America in professional studies with a concentration in baking and pastry arts. He is employed as an executive chef at Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth.

The couple has family in the Jim Thorpe area.

A wedding is planned for October 2017.
