Rear-end collision in Monroe

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a rear-end crash at 7:59 a.m. Friday along Route 115 at the intersection with Lake Road in Ross Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Melissa M. Devery, 24, of Effort was stopped for another vehicle in front of her turning left when her 2000 Saturn was struck in the rear by a 2012 Audi Q6 driven by Narda M. Tejada, 46, of Blakeslee. Troopers indicated Tejada was treated at the scene by West End ambulance personnel. Devery was not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers cited Tejada for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
