Injuries averted when car avoids deer

No one was hurt when a car ran off the road to avoid a deer at the intersection of Long Mountain and Kresge Farm roads in Monroe County, according to state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police said Tanner Parascando, 18, of Gilbert, was driving the Mazda 6 southbound on Long Mountain Road when the deer ran out in front of the vehicle, causing it to drive off the left side of the roadway and strike bushes on the property at 318 Long Mountain Road.
