Baking with brew contest at county fair

D.G. Yuengling & Son of Pottsville has partnered with Schuylkill County to bring a new contest to the Schuylkill County Fair. Baking with Brew will take place at 6 p.m. Aug. 2 in the PA Preferred Culinary Connection area of the fairgrounds.

The contest is limited to one entry per person. Entry must be a baked good that will serve a minimum of six people, and it must contain a minimum of 4 ounces of any Yuengling beer in the recipe. Exhibitors must be 21 years or older to compete.

Entries will be judged on appearance, originality and flavor.

Preregistration using the general entry form at www.schuylkillfair.com/exhibits. Prizes for first, second and third will be awarded by D.G. Yuengling and Son.
