'Skook Tales' coming to fair

Schuylkill County Fair has been chosen to be featured in a documentary series titled "Skook Tales: Written By You."

The fair was chosen for its diversity that melds various cultures and historical significance which make the Schuylkill County Fair so unique.

The fair embraces those residents who enjoy calling themselves "skooks" or "skookers." They are unique and have many stories to be shared about how the fair has impacted their lives.

Lavender Lady FX Group of Tamaqua will be filming at the fair to help record this unique fair culture. Videographers will be on the grounds Aug. 4 and Aug. 6.

The public is welcome to come to the fair and have their tales filmed and be included in the series.

The Schuylkill County Fair runs Aug. 1 through Aug. 6.
