Monroe crashes investigated

State police at Fern Ridge reported on three crashes investigated by troopers recently on Monroe County roads.

A one-vehicle crash occurred at 8:57 a.m. June 15 along Sherwood Forest Road in Jackson Township. Troopers said Renisha C. Conway, 29, of Saylorsburg, was operating a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier westbound when she overcompensated on a curve and lost control. The car went into the opposing lane of travel and then onto the berm, where it struck a tree. Conway was not injured. She was cited for the crash.

Another one-vehicle crash was reported at 10:05 a.m. on June 15 along Sugar Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township. Thelma M. Holness, 72, of Effort, was driving a 2002 Mazda Tribute westbound when she lost control, went onto the berm and drove through a yard, striking a small tree.

Holness was not injured but the vehicle was towed from the scene.

A two-vehicle crash was reported at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday along Route 209, west of Weir Lake Road, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Noreen O. Koch, 40, of Brodheadsville, was northbound in a 2006 Subaru Legacy when she became distracted while turning left into the parking lot at the West End Plaza. She failed to yield the right of way, resulting in a collision with a 2012 Jeep Cherokee operated by Brittany A. Johnson, 27, of Gilbert.

Neither Koch, Johnson nor her passenger, Zachary Ford, 18, of Stroudsburg, were injured. The Jeep had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers cited Koch for the crash.
