Rear-end crash in Schuylkill

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a rear-end crash at 6:55 p.m. Monday along the Gordon Nagle Trail (Route 901), in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Chad A. Bowen, 23, of Pottsville, was eastbound driving a 2008 Subaru Legacy when he slowed down for a deer crossing the road in front of him. His vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2012 Dodge Avenger driven by Timothy E. Gotshall, 16, of Schuylkill Haven. No one was injured.

Troopers said Gotshall was cited for following too closely.
