Schuylkill man jailed on warrants

State police at Frackville said a Schuylkill County man was jailed recently on arrest warrants and is facing other charges.

Troopers said at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday,Charles R. Conti, 42, of Back Road, village of William Penn, West Mahanoy Township, fled his home as troopers were serving a warrant.

He ran into nearby woods but was later taken into custody on two warrants.

While taking him into custody, troopers found drug paraphernalia on him.

He was transported to the county prison in Pottsville on the warrants. Troopers said additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness were also filed against Conti.
