Schuylkill man facing mischief charge
A Schuylkill County man is facing a charge of criminal mischief following an incident that occurred at 2 a.m. Feb. 19 in the 100 block of North Reed Streetin Girardville.
State police at Frackville said William Thomas Jr., 21, of Mahanoy Plane, has been cited for spray painting the word "Scum" in orange paint on the side of the 2000 Buick Century.
He then placed an M-80 firecracker on the front windshield. The blast caused significant damage to the windshield, cowl, wipers and hood. Total loss was estimated at $1,199.09, troopers said.
The misdemeanor charge was filed at the office of District Judge Christina Hale of Frackville.
