Carbon business cited by liquor board

Published March 17. 2016 04:00PM

A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Castle Grill Restaurant & Pub, 80 E. Bridge St., Lehighton, was cited because during the period July 15, 2015, through Jan. 9, it failed to notify the liquor board within 15 days of a change of manager at the pub, which is a violation of the state liquor code.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
