Pickup strikes car in Monroe

A hit-and-run crash that happened at 8 p.m. March 13 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township is being investigated by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

Police said a blue pickup merged onto Route 209 north from the parking lot of Taco Bell and KFC, just south of Rodenbach Lane, and struck the front driver's side of a 2003 Saturn Ion driven by Gertrude Griffin, 75, of Brodheadsville, before fleeing the scene.

Police said the car sustained minor damages. Griffin was uninjured.
