Roots and bluegrass jam band at Opera House

The Mauch Chunk Opera House, 14 W. Broadway, features the Chicago-based jam band Cornmeal at 8 p.m. Saturday.

A nationally recognized live music institution, Cornmeal seamlessly blends lightning-fast tempos and impeccable harmonies into an unrivaled live performance that continues to expand upon the five-piece acoustic-electric group's vast musical repertoire.

Tickets are available on the opera house website at www.mcohjt.com. The box office is open from noon to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at 570-325-0249. The facility is open from noon until 5 p.m. on show days.
