Man charged in three theft cases
A Carbon County man faces multiple charges of retail theft following several incidents.
Mahoning Township Police Department said that at 1:20 p.m. Dec. 16, a retail theft occurred at Walmart.
Loss prevention reported a man had stolen merchandise valued at $124.47.
As a result of the investigation Trevor Hartranft, 37, of Lehighton has been charged with retail theft, a misdemeanor.
In a separate incident, at 8:58 a.m. Dec. 23, Hartranft was also involved in another retail theft at Walmart.

In a separate incident, at 6:34 p.m. Feb. 19, a customer at Lowes on Route 443 reported a generator had been stolen from the bed of his truck by a person in a Budget rental truck.
The theft was witnessed by an employee of Lowe's.
The rental truck was stopped, and police seized the stolen generator from the Budget truck.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, Hartranft, has been charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition, a misdemeanor.
Preliminary hearings for all three cases involving Hartranft are scheduled for April 6.
