One injured in Schuylkill crash

One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 5:57 a.m. Tuesday along Route 209 in Kline Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Annette K. Acker, 49, of Wapwallopen drove her 1999 Lincoln Town Car into the trailer portion of a 2007 Freightliner tractor driven by Richard L. O'Donnell, 64, of Frackville, who both were southbound. Troopers said O'Donnell had just pulled out onto 309 from the Lofty Road.

Acker was injured and transported by McAdoo ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital Miners Campus in Coaldale. The Lincoln sustained heavy damages to the front end. McAdoo Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene.

Troopers cited Acker for careless driving.
