Schuylkill man charged with DUI

A Schuylkill County man has been charged with driving under the influence.

Mahoning Township police said that at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 10, police stopped a Subaru making a careless turn off Route 443 onto Mahoning Mountain Road.

The driver of the vehicle, Kenneth Hibbler, 40, of Tamaqua, has been charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and other summary offenses.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 20.
