Police investigate theft of pit bull

Published March 22. 2016 04:00PM

Ryan Woodroffe, 31, of Levittown is wanted by Tamaqua police in connection with the theft of a female pit bull named Veah.

The dog was in the custody of Larry Kabana, 48, of 21 Spruce St., given to him in July 2015 by April Reznick.

On March 11, Woodroffe went to Kabana's home and offered to trade tools for the dog. Kabana declined the offer and went into his home to check on something. That's when Woodroffe took the dog and fled.

Veah is described as a 4-year-old female, mostly brown in color with a white underside.

Anyone with information may contact police at 570-668-5000 or 570-668-6100.
