Man to appear in court for possession

A man is scheduled to appear for a hearing in district court next month on drug charges.

At 6:30 p.m. March 1, Mahoning Township Police were dispatched to Giant on Route 443 for a woman passed out in the bathroom.

Police made contact with the woman and a man identified as Jesse Stahler.

During the investigation, police seized heroin.

Stahler has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and false identification to law enforcement authorities, all misdemeanors.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 20.
