Rear-end collision reported in Schuylkill

State police at Frackville reported investigating a rear-end crash in Schuylkill County on Tuesday.

Troopers said Alexis C. Nevadomsky, 20, of Oneida was stopped in the southbound lane of Route 924 in East Union Township around 6:45 p.m. attempting to make a left turn. Her 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier was struck in the rear by a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck driven by Joseph E. Gilbert, 27, of Ringtown.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton Campus. The Colorado had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers cited Gilbert for following too closely.
