Special Olympics sports bash at Wilkes

Zebra Communications will hold the "Fun and Fabulous Sports Bash" for the Special Olympics from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wilkes University's University Center on Main, 169 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre. Check-in will start at 1 p.m. Games will start at 3 p.m.

There will be a $5 admission for the public.

Families a part of the Special Olympics and the public will be invited to participate in basketball and kickball tournaments. Pre-registration is recommended for individuals to participate. Participants should wear sneakers and comfortable, loose clothes. There will be a photo opportunity in front of a backdrop that will be provided for families.

There will be food and music throughout the day.
