Woman cited for bad check

Hope J. Baker, 38, of East Ridge Street, Coaldale, was cited by Tamaqua police after a check she used to pay a fine was returned due to insufficient funds.

Baker wrote out a check for $300 to the court of District Judge Stephen Bayer on May 26. The check was drawn on a Wells Fargo account and was returned to the court on June 1.

Baker hasn't made any attempt to resolve the issue and was cited for passing a bad check.
