Contraband found during checkpoint

Gary Charles Lehr Jr., Nazareth, was charged with possession of drugs after state police at the Lehighton barracks discovered contraband during a DUI checkpoint they conducted on Old Route 115 in Ross Township.

Police said the incident happened at 11:33 p.m. Sept. 4 near the intersection with Anchorage Road.
