State Police at Lehighton report:

Bad check charge:A 34-year-old man from Easton was charged with issuing a bad check in which a 52-year-old Palmerton man is the victim.

Police said the incident dates back to noon June 6. Police said the Easton man rendered a check drawn on the First Northern Bank and Trust, Palmerton, to the victim for services rendered.

Police did not release the suspect's name.

Equipment stolen:The theft of several pieces of equipment from a work site in Ross Township is being investigated by state police.

The victim is a 28-year-old man from East Stroudsburg.

He reported that sometime between 8 p.m. Oct. 2 and 4 p.m. Oct. 3, someone took the equipment from the site off Route 115, between Flyte and Meixsell Valley roads in the township.
