Traffic stop leads to drug charges

A traffic stop along Interstate 80 in Carbon County led to the arrest of three people and the seizing of a large quantity of drugs.

State police at Fern Ridge said a vehicle stop was conducted at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday in East Side Borough for a vehicle code violation.

A search of the vehicle yielded 101 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine. Troopers arrested Raushaun Fleming, 42, and Valerie Lynn Jenkins, 51, both of Johnstown, Cambria County; and Lawrence Stallworth, 45, of Conyers, Georgia, with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and related charges.

The three were placed in the county prison in Nesquehoning pending arraignment.
