Fun fall events to look forward to this year

• Andreas Halloween parade, 7 p.m. Wednesday. Rain date is 7 p.m. Thursday.

• Jim Thorpe Halloween parade, 4 p.m. Sunday.

• Schuylkill Haven Halloween parade, 7 p.m. Oct. 25

• Tamaqua Halloween parade, 7 p.m. Oct. 25. The rain date is 7 p.m. Oct. 26.

• The Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission is sponsoring a family Halloween dance and social event from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Tamaqua Salvation Army, 105 W. Broad St. There is a small admission fee which will include snacks, refreshment, music and games. Prizes will be awarded for those who come dressed in costume. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 570-668-2919 or email esrcrec@hotmail.com. Deadline for reservations is Oct. 26.

• Schaeffer's Motorsports will be hosting a Halloween event, with proceeds going to a charitable organization.

From 5-8 p.m.Oct. 30, the business will hold its "Ghoulish Glow-a-Thon" at Ozzy's Family Fun Center in Leesport. The event will feature food, games, a candy bar, laser tag, skating and entertainment by DJ Harley D & Sidecar. Tickets are available for purchase at Schaeffer's Motorsports, or at the door of Ozzy's on Oct. 30. All proceeds will be contributed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
