Wanted man found in Polk residence

Lawrence Purcell, 34, of Kunkletown, who police said was "wanted," was apprehended by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 12:50 a.m. Oct. 18 at 4144 Forest Drive, Kunkletown, Polk Township.

Police said they responded to the residence after receiving information that Purcell was there, and found him hiding in a bedroom closet. After he was apprehended, police said they found two bags containing 50 grams of suspected marijuana on the bedroom floor.

Purcell was transported to the Monroe County Prison, Snydersville.
