Schuylkill crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven report the following crashes:

• One driver was cited following a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 6:10 a.m.Oct. 14 along Route 901 in Foster Township.

Police said Kenneth K. Amemo, 48, of Durham, North Carolina, was westbound operating a 2010 Freightliner tractor-trailer while Keith B. Krise, 50, of Mount Carmel, was eastbound driving a 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. In the area of a right curve, Amemo attempted to turn around in the roadway, crossing over both directions of travel. He entered into the eastbound lane where his rig was struck by Krise's vehicle.

No one was injured.

Troopers cited Amemo.

• A 17-year-old Pine Grove male was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 3:15 p.m. on Oct. 13 along Mexico Road in Pine Grove Township.

Police said the teen was driving a 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier westbound and attempted to negotiate a left curve. The car left the road on the right side and went into a ditch before striking a utility pole.

Troopers said the teen suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Hershey Medical Center.

State police at Frackville reported investigating a two-vehicle crash at 11:08 a.m.Oct. 15 at the intersection of Highridge Park Road and Keystone Boulevard in Cass Township.

• Troopers said Robert J. Bauers, 36, of Minersville, was westbound on Highridge Park Road and at the intersection attempted a left turn onto Keystone Boulevard and pulled in the path of Robert A. Celani, 20, of Pottsville, who was eastbound on Highridge Park Road. Celani's 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe struck Bauers' 2012 Chevrolet Equinox in the intersection. Troopers noted both drivers had a green light at the intersection. No one was injured. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Troopers cited Bauers.

• At 7 p.m. on Sunday along Sleepy Hollow Road, in East Brunswick Township, troopers said Corey D. Weiss, 24, of Pottsville, was driving a 2004 Volkswagen Passat westbound and negotiating a right turn. The Passat crossed over the center line and into the eastbound lane and then onto the berm, where it struck a dirt embankment.

No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed.

Weiss received two traffic citations as a result of the crash.
