Driver hits deer, crashes in Monroe
A deer was blamed for a one-vehicle crash that was reported at 1:50 a.m. on Monday along Dotters Corners Road, near Jonas Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County.
State police at Lehighton said Connor Brown, 21, of Kunkletown was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruz southbound when a deer ran out in front of him.
Brown drove off the left side of the road and struck a tree in an attempt to avoid the deer.
Brown was not injured. His vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
