Woman reports ID theft incident
State police at Fern Ridge reported they are investigating an attempted identity theft incident.
Troopers said a 57-year-old woman from Cold Spring Drive in Penn Forest Streams, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, reported someone attempted to use her personal information to purchase cellphones at a Verizon store in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. Aug. 24.
