Woman charged with drug possession

A Tamaqua woman picked up on an outstanding warrant on Aug. 25 faces additional charges.

Police received a tip that Terri L. Kates, a wanted person, was at an address in the 200 block of West Rowe Street.

Officers went to the apartment and found Kates hiding in a bedroom.

At the time she was found, she had three hypodermic needles and a package marked "Suboxone" in her purse.

She will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
