Municipal liens

The Borough of Jim Thorpe has filed municipal liens against the owners of five properties in the borough who are delinquent in payment of their utility bills.

The defendants are: Liberty Lofts LLC, Gloucester City, New Jersey, for property located at 101 Race St., lien in the amount of $1,422.95 for delinquent sewer, water and garbage bills; Diana and Caonabo Capellan, Bronx, New York, for property located at 510 Center Ave., lien in the amount of $2,159.17 for delinquent water, sewer and garbage bills; Eric T. Wenzelberger, Nazareth, for property located at 87 E. Third St., lien in the amount of $884.50 for delinquent garbage bills; Christine Cuoco, P.O. Box 454, Jim Thorpe, for property located at 56 W. Broadway, lien in the amount of $970.75 for delinquent garbage bills; Penny Fulfillment & Distribution LLC, Bethlehem, for property located at 151 W. Broadway, lien in the amount of $2,305.26 for delinquent water, sewer and garbage bills; and Ricky and Joanna Everett, for property located 85 E. Third St., lien in the amount of $1,156.98 for delinquent water, sewer and garbage bills.

Credit default

Cavalry SPC 1 LLC, as assignee of Citibank, has filed a credit account default suit against Lyle A. Augustine, 32 E. Diaz Ave., Nesquehoning.

The plaintiff is seeking judgment in the amount of $5,948.05, plus costs.

Mortgage foreclosure

The Jim Thorpe Neighborhood Bank, 12 Broadway, Jim Thorpe, has filed a mortgage foreclosure complaint against Rachel E. Robins, Lorraine M. Robins and Mark Robins, 120 E. High St., Coaldale, and Salvatore Canzoneri, 76 E. Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning, over a property at the latter address.

Sought is judgment in the amount of $53,602.60, plus interest, attorney's fees, costs and escrow advances.

PA revenue liens

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Revenue, has recorded three liens owed by defendants for various taxes, as follows:

A $4,322.85 lien was filed against Roy Ott and RSO III LLC, 221 Columbia Ave., Palmerton, for sales tax owed for the period of January 2008, through June 2009.

A $35,986.45 lien was filed against Amanda L. Hinkle, individually, and as owner of Masters Roofing and Construction Inc., P.O. Box 97, Weatherly, for employer taxes owed for the period of January 2013, through December 2014.

A $365.14 lien was filed against Robert E. Buck, 355 Hickory Road, Palmerton, for personal income taxes owed for 2014.

Confession of judgment

A complaint in confession of judgment has been filed by PNC Bank N.A., Philadelphia, against Paul Rau and Linda K. Rau, 2258 Blakeslee Blvd., Lehighton, seeking judgment in the plaintiff's favor in the amount of $55,661.41.

The complaint states the defendants entered into a commercial guarantee where they became absolute and unconditional guarantors and sureties for all indebtedness of Paul Rau, individually, and doing business as Paul's Auto Transport, and that the defendants have defaulted on the matter, owing $20,898.40. The suit further alleged the defendants are indebted to the bank for $34,763.01 in credit card funds they received.

Judgment recorded

Midland Funding LLC, San Diego, has put on record a judgment ordered in its favor against Jamie Rutman, 2317 E. Lizard Creek Road, Lehighton.

The judgment was entered by Magisterial District Judge Casimir Kosciolek in the amount of $3,085.08.
