Driver flees scene of crash in Hubley Twp.
State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said the driver of a vehicle that veered off a road in Hubley Township fled the scene after the vehicle snapped a utility pole.
The incident happened at 7 a.m.Monday at Creek Road and East Main Street in the township.
Police said the vehicle was attempting to make a right turn onto Creek Road when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a fire hydrant and utility pole guide wire, snapping the pole at its top tire and pulling down wires from a residence, after which time the driver fled the scene.
