Who benefits from stadium?

Published September 24. 2016 09:02AM

Well, now, you have seen the grand Lehighton Athletic Stadium? I guess it makes the athletes "feel like college athletes" … I think I read that somewhere, recently. We have track, field hockey and I don't know what else, as I'm not a sports person, and of course there is FOOTBALL! I hope our falling-down school in the swamp is able to teach as well as the athletes expect to play at this several-million-dollar playground! I also wonder about the students in comparison to the number of students who will benefit from this high-priced, ego-building "athletic complex and arena."

Whatever happened to Lehighton baseball? Uh-oh, that would require ANOTHER field of play!

I wonder if the new elementary building and all current building renovations are being done by UNION workers. Although I've heard that the sorrowful high school building is failing because the contracts were not made with union contractors. But, there again, even the union workers are not being trained as well as they used to be.
