Woman charged with DUI in McAdoo

McAdoo Police have cited Ariana Fisher, 18, of Hazle Township, in connection with a traffic stop on Aug. 18.

An officer on patrol at 1:34 a.m. saw a silver Saturn, with a nonworking brake light, traveling on Route 309. He stopped the car and identified Fisher as the driver.

A strong odor of marijuana came from inside the vehicle. When the officer asked Fisher to stick out her tongue, he saw that it was green, an indicator of recent marijuana use.

Fisher was given and failed field sobriety tests, which resulted in her being charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
