Saylorsburg woman cited after crash

Kaitlyn L. Tworkowsky, 22, of Saylorsburg, was cited for violating traffic control signals by state police at the Lehighton barracks after a two-vehicle crash at 9 a.m. March 26 at the intersection of Route 209 and Greenhill Road in Polk Township.

Police said she was driving a 1991 Plymouth Voyager on Route 209 when it proceeded through a red light, causing a collision with a 2007 Ford Econoline operated by Bruce M. Gower, 83, also of Saylorsburg. The latter was starting to pull from the intersection on a green light when it was struck, police said.

Neither driver was hurt.

The Voyager was towed from the scene while the Econoline sustained functional damages to its driver's side.
