BMHS, Lions host health and information fair
Blue Mountain Health System and the Palmerton Lions Club will co-host a Community Health and Information Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday on the main floor and cafeteria at the Palmerton Hospital Campus of BMHS at 135 Lafayette Ave. in Palmerton.
Free health screenings will be offered at no cost, including EKGs. Representatives from agencies and organizations from Carbon and surrounding counties will be present with information and education on a variety of topics, including nutrition, weight loss, exercise and fitness, insurance, Medicare, local government and more.
Free chair massages will be available and door prizes will be awarded; you don't need to be present to win. In addition, sandwiches and homemade baked goods, juice and coffee/tea will be served, courtesy of the Palmerton Lions Club.
There is no charge to attend the fair or for any of the screenings, and refreshments are free as well. Call to register or for an appointment for an EKG at 610-377-7070.
