Tribute to Frank Sinatra at opera house
Ol' Blue Eyes Is Back at the Mauch Chunk Opera House, 14 W. Broadway in Jim Thorpe at 8 p.m. Saturday. This special performance, "It Was a Very Good Year," is a musical journey about the life and times of the late Frank Sinatra starring Tony Sands as "The Voice," singing all his best-loved songs performed true to their original arrangements.
Sands captivates his audiences with the mannerisms, illusion and romance that have made him a must-see in Atlantic City and Vegas for more than 20 years. His impressive resume includes numerous television appearances throughout the East Coast, as well as his spot-on portrayal of Sinatra in a Rat Pack-style revue.
During this performance, Sands will be performing music from the early days with Tommy Dorsey to the bright lights of New York City and the silver screen of Hollywood, leading up to the "Main Event" comeback.
