Fighting couple lands in county lockup

A Girardville couple ended up in jail after a domestic dispute in which state police at the Frackville barracks were beckoned at 3 p.m. Aug. 15.

The incident happened on East Main Street, resulting in simple assault charges being filed against Janel Tokarick, 53, and Michael Kostura, 47.

Police said they engaged in a domestic dispute and subjected each other to physical contact.

Following their arraignments before Magisterial District Judge Christina Haler, they were incarcerated in lieu of $10,000 bail each.
