Lehighton woman injured in crash

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 7:10 p.m. on Jan. 25 along Picnicwoods Road, in East Penn Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Andrea M. Sicora, 33, of Lehighton, was driving a 2003 Nissan Xterra southbound and approaching Church Hill Road when she swerved to avoid a deer that had entered the road in front of her.

The Nissan crashed into an embankment along the east side of the road, then rolled over onto the driver's side. Sicora was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed. She was cited for the crash.
