Fundraiser concert for summer spectacular
Touchstone Theatre will present a concert fundraiser, Jakopa's Punch Bowl, at 7 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Charles A. Brown Ice House, 56 River St., Bethlehem.
This Mardi Gras-themed evening includes three local bands, New Orleans-style light fare and beverages and supports Touchstone's upcoming The Jakopa's Punch Processional, a free outdoor spectacle performance.
The summer show follows the musician characters from the Jakopa's Punch band in a traveling performance along the South Bethlehem Greenway behind Touchstone's home theater July 14-15.
The fundraiser will feature headliner Jakopa's Punch, a band composed of Touchstone company members and guest artists, performing "reimaginings" of classic pop hits. The evening also features The Bastard Sons of Burt Sugarman, a local revolving door of singer-songwriters hosted by Mike ROI and Carter Lansing; and The Charts Funk Band, consisting of students from the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts.
