A McAdoo man was cited after a domestic incident on Jan. 23.

McAdoo police went to 27 N. Sheridan St. for a reported assault and met with Anthony Stranko, 52. He said he had been hit in the head by his girlfriend after he refused to allow her to use his car. Stranko said the woman used a baseball bat and also scratched at his left eye.

He had no visible injuries and smelled strongly of alcohol.

Officers contacted the girlfriend, who said that it was Stranko who used the baseball bat on her. After she was struck in the head, she hit Stranko in the face. She was able to take the bat from him and threw it in a corner, then left the house.

Officers did observe a large lump on her head.

Stranko was cited for simple assault and harassment.
