CK Players stage 'Pints, Pounds & Pilgrims'

Published February 16. 2017 12:42PM

"Pints, Pounds & Pilgrims," with a special musical performance by Dave Fry, opens March 10 at The Unicorn Theatre, 417 Front St., Catasauqua.

Performed by the Crowded Kitchen Players, this comedy features a manic English stage director who feverishly rehearses his long-suffering cast in an original Irish tragedy intended as the headlining event of an arts festival. Meanwhile, a struggling American dinner theater mistakenly believes it has been invited to perform its original bedroom farce at the same festival.

The cast includes: David 'Oz' Oswald, Tom Harrison, Dan Ferry, David Fox, Sarah Thomas, Rebecca Burroughs, George Miller, Pamela McLean Wallace, Patti Hall Squire, Dorothy Cockrell, Bruce Brown, Dave Fry and Ara Barlieb.

"Pints, Pounds & Pilgrims" is written and directed by Barlieb and stage managed by Alexandra Racines.

Performances are 8 p.m. March 10, 11 17 and 18; and 2 p.m. March 12 and 19.
