State police at Frackville
State police at Frackville have reported on the following incidents in Schuylkill County in recent days.
• The vehicle registration plate from a 1998 Aerol travel trailer, owned bya 37-year-old Long Row Road, Gilberton man, was stolen while the trailer was parked outside the residence. The theft occurred sometime between Feb. 7 and Feb. 14 at 8 a.m. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300
• Copper piping was removed from the basement of an abandoned residence located along Pine Valley Road in East Brunswick Township sometime between Feb. 4 and 13.
• State police said Trevor Gibas, 23, of Cumbola, Blythe Township, is being sought for an incident that occurred on Sunday and also on a bench warrant. Troopers said at 7:51 p.m. Gibas arrived ata Bobb Ally residence and asked a 27-year-old woman if he could come inside. She refused to allow him to enter and shut the front door. Gibas then kicked the front door causing damage to the frame and lock estimated at $350. He then ran off. Troopers said Gibas also has an active bench warrant for his arrest issued to the county's adult probation office. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
• Police are investigating a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 6:21 pm. Sunday along Keystone Boulevard in Cass Township. Troopers said Cory M. Stauffer, 28, of Frackville, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer westbound near the entrance to Lowe's Distribution Center when another vehicle entered his lane of travel. Stauffer applied his brakes and turned to the right. The Trailblazer left the road and began to spin counterclockwise before sliding across the boulevard into the eastbound lane. It then struck a concrete curb before leaving the road and coming to rest in a grassy area. He was not injured.
