The Gallery at St. John's, located at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 330 Ferry St., Easton, will feature artist Jeffrey Green's Tranquility and Beauty solo show. His art focuses on uplifting themes through expressive realism. With the unique medium of colored pencils in a painterly style, a stimulating freshness is brought to fine art.

An opening reception will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. The artist will discuss his inspiration, insights into the work, and a lifelong struggle with deep social anxiety at the Artist Talk at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 15.

The show runs Sunday through Feb. 26. The gallery is open Sundays from noon to 3 p.m. and weekdays by appointment. There is no charge.

Green, of Bangor, has been using colored pencils for over 20 years. His work has been featured in several magazines, and has held solo shows at the Nazareth Center for the Arts in Nazareth, and the Rotunda Gallery in Bethlehem. He currently teaches workshops at Bloom Creative Studio in Bangor.
