Musical beach party at the Pines

The Pines Dinner Theatre, 448 N 17th St., Allentown, presents the musical, "The Bikinis,"Friday through Aug. 20.

Back together after 20 years, the four ladies of the girl group, The Bikinis, bring back the sun, fun and the great songs they sang down on the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore. The Bikinis or "The Jersey Girls," relive their heyday and beyond, beginning with the summer of 1964, the night these four friends got their name, winning the Belmar Beach Talent Contest, wearing just their bikinis! Based on a true story, this celebration of song is filled with hits like "In His Kiss," "Heat Wave," "Under the Boardwalk," "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" and more.

The show stars Amber Blatt as "Jodi," Katelyn Lauria as "Karla," Morgan Daniels as "Annie," and Candace C. Culcleasure as "Barbara."

"The Bikinis" is directed and choreographed by Oliver Blatt and under the music direction of Stacy Bechtel.

Evening performances (6:30 p.m. dinner, 8 p.m. show) are Friday and Saturday; afternoon performances (12:30 p.m. dinner, 2 p.m. show) are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
