Kansas tribute band coming to Tamaqua
Know Return, a Kansas tribute band from the Philadelphia area, will be performing at The Stitch Theater at the Tamaqua Community Art Center on Aug. 12. The music will begin at 7 p.m.
The band's name is taken from the legendary rock group's fifth studio album, "Point of Know Return." The group strives to re-create the music of Kansas as close as possible to the original recordings.
Formed in 2013, the band features Bob Berry on bass and vocals; Dave Boardman on guitar/vocals; Matt Cobb on guitar/keyboard vocals; Bob Eben on drums/vocals; Patrick Igoe on lead vocal/keys/acoustic; Ximena Violante on violin/acoustic/vocals; and Chuck Whitmore on keys.
The band has performed at the Theater of Living Arts in Philadelphia; Havana in New Hope; Building 24 in Wyomissing; Berks Country Fest in Reading; the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg; School of Rock in Doylestown; and the West End Fair in Gilbert, as well as numerous other venues throughout Pennsylvania.
The art center is located at 125 Pine St., Tamaqua.
