Alliance director earns certificate

Sarah Jacobi of Blakeslee earned a certificate in nonprofit management through the inaugural partnership of Northampton Community College's Center for Business and Industry in Bethlehem and Philadelphia's Nonprofit Center at La Salle University.

Jacobi took 10 classes in essential nonprofit skills to earn the degree. The classes covered financial management, marketing, strategic planning and fundraising.

Jacobi is assistant director of the Pocono Alliance in Stroudsburg, which provides programs that foster self-sufficiency, healthy living and child and family development.
