Drive with caution

Dear Editor,

In regard to the Lansford police officer injured in a three-vehicle crash, the vehicle descending Route 902 from Summit Hill should have shifted around the last curve at the bottom to a lower gear in the transmission. You should not be coming around that curve in overdrive. A word of caution if your vehicle has an overdrive transmission, don't drive in overdrive down hills or around town. If all else fails, use the emergency brake or parking brake, as it is called, to help slow you down if you have time to act.
