Woman jailed after domestic incident

Marisol Elena Magobet, 38, was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, after state police at Lehighton responded to a simple assault incident at 6:39 p.m. July 7 at the intersection of Route 209 and Scenic Drive in Polk Township.

The victim is a 34-year-old man.

Police said they responded to a domestic violence incident at the above location, where the victim related he was shoved into the entertainment system by the woman. She was taken into custody and jailed.

Police said the victim suffered a laceration of the ear.
