A Meet & Greet with local author, Sherry L. Hoffman, will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jokers Are Wild Game Café, 125 N. First St. in Lehighton. Hoffman will be available to sign her newest book, "Grateful for You, Good Night!"
Hoffman is an author and reading specialist. When she is not busy reading and writing books, she can be found writing poetry, reviewing children's books and spending time with her family. She has won several awards for her books "A to Z Character Education for the Classroom" and "Be the Best Version of You: A Teacher's Poem to Her Students." Highlights include earning gold medals in poetry for the Mom's Choice Awards, honorable mention for Eric Hoffer Awards and second place and honorable mention for Purple Dragonfly Awards. Additional honors include being Story Monster Approved.
Hoffman enjoys attending the children's music, sports and dance activities, as well as exploring different vacation spots with her family. She lives in northeastern Pennsylvania with her husband Jared and children, Megan, Jocelyn and Sawyer, along with the family Rottweilers, Jasmine and Cruncher, and cat, Diamond.
