Named to dean's list
Makayla Gordon, Slatington, has been named to the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Academy of Culinary Arts dean's list for the spring 2017 semester. She is a 2015 graduate of Northern Lehigh High School.
Gordon completed baking and pastry arts training at the academy. Students begin pastry training during their culinary arts study and can apply for additional 750 hours of advanced instruction in baking and pastry arts. The program includes a 450-hour paid baking externship, which Gordon completed at the Hollywood Casino in Grantville.
